Our 4-hour Wreck & Reef trip gives us more time to explore the fishing grounds along the North Cornwall coast. It’s a natural step up from our 2-hour mackerel trip, with more time at sea and the opportunity to fish a wider variety of ground.

Leaving Padstow Harbour, skippers Lee and Gav will usually head west towards Trevose Head or east in the direction of Boscastle and Tintagel. Where we fish is decided on the day, taking into account the tide, weather, sea conditions and the marks the skipper believes will give us the best opportunity for good fishing.

Depending on the day, we may fish reefs, rough ground or wrecks lying off the North Cornwall coast. Different marks call for different approaches, and our skippers use their knowledge of these waters to decide where to fish, how to set up and when it’s worth moving on to another mark.

All rods, reels, tackle and bait are included. Lee and Gav will get you set up, explain the techniques we’re using and help throughout the trip. No previous fishing experience is essential, although the longer trip is particularly suited to those wanting to experience more varied sea fishing.
