The whole boat, just for your group
Private hire gives your group exclusive use of the boat, with the trip planned around what you’d like to do. Choose a private fishing trip, spend time exploring the Cornish coast, or simply enjoy being out at sea — you don’t have to fish.
It’s ideal for families and groups of friends, fishing clubs, stag dos, team days and special occasions. We can also accommodate filming and photography, with private use of the boat giving crews more flexibility over the day.
For fishing charters, the skipper will plan the trip around the tide, weather, sea conditions and what’s fishing well. For sightseeing, filming, photography or other private trips, contact us at mail@emmakate2.com to discuss what you have in mind and we’ll advise what’s possible.
WHAT TO EXPECT ON BOARD
A genuine sea fishing experience
Our boats are purpose-built working fishing boats rather than pleasure or sightseeing boats. You’ll be fishing from an open deck, with the layout and seating varying between vessels.
The boats naturally move with the sea, and conditions outside Padstow Harbour can feel very different from those inside the harbour. We recommend warm layers, waterproofs and sensible footwear, even when the weather looks good on shore.
Our skippers and crew are there to get you set up, show you what to do and help throughout the trip, so beginners and experienced anglers are equally welcome.
